Webtoid should go private (self.webtoid.com)

Its not going to get any users as a public website anyway. At least if it went private some discussion might actually occur and the quality of comments wouldn't drop to youtube levels.

Reasoning: Private -> People think its exclusive -> invites sent out -> people feel good -> people discuss -> something happens here and webtoid is shut down.

Reddit is public and well used. We just need to promote it. I would not agree with going private. As it is I am sure we have lots of lurkers who just have not made accounts yet. If its private we lose all those people

Is it honestly believed that webtoid will gather any significant traffic with its current "lurkers"? Allow a certain signup period and you'll have all the lurkers with accounts and all those not in would want to join more. Right now it seems like its going to die off fast.

people will join when they see something they just MUST comment on. But as it stands now with 1574 actual members and most things with only 1-3 votes on it, I would say its not the lurkers you need to focus on. get more activity from members and then more people will join.

More awareness needs to occur too. I stumbled it.. what other ways is this site being promoted?
