Sorry about that, it should work as expected now.

Sorry, it's /r/newsubtoids (plural).

What/Who is Webtoid? Who are the creators? When did it start? What do we know?

To my knowledge anyway, there's no affiliation with the reddit.com admins; the admins here are simply using the (freely available) reddit site code. As for who runs it, I have no idea, though at least one of the admins seems nice from my short correspondence.

That's why the logo at the bottom says "powered by reddit" - it's referring to the codebase that runs reddit, not the actual reddit team. That code is open-source.

No it isn't, because even if someone reposted the same thing on Digg at the same time, it would still be on peoples' front pages a day after it's on webtoid's front page.

Stuff is late on Digg even though it's submitted to Digg and reddit at the same time. So there just needs to be more people here who submit to reddit and webtoid at the same time.

I'm trying to post original stuff in /r/news - I'm not really counting on this site killing reddit, but it'll be interesting to see how long it lasts. I don't know if it's stuff that's on reddit too, but it probably is... news is news.
